💥 What's the Big Deal:
This is the first randomized clinical trial to show that personalized risk-reduction strategies can have a positive effect on cognition and dementia risk profile among older adults.👏🏼The intervention group improved more on the cognitive primary outcome than the control group after 2 years, showing a 74% improvement compared with the control group.👍🏼The intervention group also improved more on a composite score of risk factors, such as physical inactivity, hypertension, sleep, depressive symptoms, and social engagement.😊This study suggests that personalized coaching may be more effective than a one-size-fits-all approach and that modifying risk factors may prevent or delay dementia.
