Hawaiʻi is facing a growing shortage of primary care doctors, leaving many patients struggling to find timely access to basic healthcare services. In response, a new model, direct primary care (DPC), is gaining traction. Instead of billing insurance, patients pay a monthly membership fee for more immediate, personalized care📲.
